I am an Extraordinarian, one that seeks the extraordinary in the ordinary. I lean in close to my subjects with a macro camera to uncover details that are not readily seen from a distance and express them in watercolor paintings. I transform the paintings into art cards and include the behind-the-design story on the back of each of the cards. In 2005 I made my cards available for public purchase with limited success because I was distracted by my day job as a Quality Manager, a necessity for raising my family as a single parent. In January of 2018, I retired and became free to spend my time developing my art work. I have devoted most of my time to botanical subjects, branching out briefly to explore other subjects, but my first love is floral closeups. My work is available in the form of originals, art prints and art cards.

DEMONSTRATION: I will have original paintings, canvas reproductions and art cards on display and I will be demonstrating how to paint ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals), tiny paintings that do not exceed 2. 5 x 3.5.
STUDIO ACCESS: My “studio” is my living room. My front door has a threshold and the door is 36 in. There is a slight incline to front entry but the entry is all concrete and no steps. We will have one parking area open for limited mobility or senior use.
