My
Creative Spirit:
"I
embody the Renaissance ideal of an artist, working in every medium
with skill, intelligence and passion."
~ Pablo Picasso
As a creative
person, Luci cannot work in only one medium. Although her focus
is on watercolor painting, she also works in oil, acrylic, gouache,
serigraphy and ceramics. She not only paints on paper, she also
paints on furniture and walls. She has commissioned art pieces
ranging from house and barn portraits, business signs, painted
furniture, to murals of birds on a kitchen wall, and fruits and
vegetables on a produce barn. Her work is as realistic as a photograph
or as abstract as just shapes. She works in both forms; she needs
the structure and the spontaneity.
She teaches
watercolor for the University of Wisconsin Union Mini-Courses
and M.A.T.C. Adult and Continuing Education in Madison, as well
as various weekend workshops.
Memberships
include the Madison Watercolor Society, the Southern Wisconsin
Watercolor Society, Madison Art Guild, the Wisconsin Regional
Artist Association and the Wisconsin Alliance of Artists and Craftspeople.
Luci
will do watercolor and acrylic demonstration each day, with visitor
participation encouraged.
