Waverly Liu | etching

Artist and writer Waverly Weiqun Liu grew up on the southeastern coast of China, and came to the United States to study art. After completing a bachelor’s degree in fine art and a master of fine art in creative writing, she went on to tell her stories through painting, writing, translation, as well as teaching. Most recently, she has shifted her attention to etching. Working always in series, the progression of images traces time--past present and future, of personal memory, family history, and that of the larger world beyond.
