Kathy graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a BFA, emphasis in Drawing and Painting. A Post-Baccalaureate degree in Art Education was earned several years later and she has been teaching and producing art professionally since 1984—which happens to be the same year she joined WP&S/WAAM. Her career in teaching led to joining another organization, Milwaukee Area Teachers of Art (MATA). While juggling motherhood and a career in teaching, the paintings have evolved into chronicles of her life’s events represented in both abstract and realistic depictions. Her award winning art work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest for the last 25 years, including The Milwaukee Art Museum, Charles Allis Art Museum, Museum of Wisconsin Art, Anderson Art Center, Wisconsin Academy of Art Gallery, and the Springfield Museum of Art in Missouri.
