Cave of the Mounds - National Natural Landmark
Discover Buried Treasure – Discover Fun. This natural limestone cave offers guided tours daily on paved and lighted walkways. Tours pass a stunning array of colorful crystal formations including stalactites, stalagmites and columns. Enjoy the constant 50 degree year round temperature. While on the grounds, have a picnic and enjoy gemstone mining, the Rock and Gift Shop, butterfly gardens and prairie restoration. David W. Heiney's Dining & Spirits, at 1221 Mills Street in Black Earth, Wisconsin is a pleasant 10 minute drive north on State Highway 78 from Mount Horeb. The Grumpy Troll Brewery, Restaurant & Pizzeria is located in historic downtown Mount Horeb. Formerly a cheese factory, the 100 year old building was transformed into a brewery and restaurant in 1998. The brewery is located on the main floor adjacent to the dining room and can be viewed through large windows.
